"Smart: Ghost Record" is a unique horror movie. It uses horror as a selling point and adopts the method of "just talk but not show" to create suspense. Its story is very simple, but terrifying: a young couple was frightened by the strange sound of their house at night, so they decided to place a camera in the bedroom to capture potential "weird phenomena". This kind of story, combined with the pseudo-documentary format, makes it both very good and really scary.
After "Blair the Witch", the audience once again saw a director using the same routine to achieve success. "Clover's Archives", "Quarantine Zone", and "Death Video" are also successful examples of pseudo-documentaries in terms of horror themes, but like "Smart: Ghost Record", the gimmicks of "pseudo-documentary" are used so vividly. It's rare. Throughout the film, the director has been claiming to shoot a documentary in a serious manner, and even the propaganda before and after the stage is like this. It has to be said that the use of non-professional actors to perform the film also allows the director to achieve this goal.

Micah: Depends on what you think it is.
Katie: I think it's a big-ass camera! Whatever happened to one of those little hand held cameras?

Micah: Here, kiss the camera.
Katie: I'm not going to kiss the camera. I'll kiss you, but I won't kiss the camera.
