Open Season

The original idea of "Open Season" came from several reports on wild animals.
Column cartoonist, original author and executive producer Steve Moore invited his production partner John Karls to write this idea into a synopsis, and accompanied by a large stack of hilarious cartoons. The two of them took this pile of things and lobbied to the newly established Sony Animation Film Company. After further enriching the story outline, "Open Season" was officially approved and became the first animated feature film after the establishment of Sony Animation Films.

Cartoonists and animation engineers spent nearly a year drawing the characters in "Open Season".
200 artists drew a total of 34,000 storyboards and completed 1,223 sets of shots.
All the hairs in "Open Season" add up to hundreds of millions. Eliot has the most hairs, about 3.5 million. Bouguer has 1.6 million pieces and Beth has 1.5 million pieces.
The visual effects group uses a new "combing" technology to treat the hair and developed a new "dynamic hair system". Using new technology, you can make the hairs move one by one while still maintaining the independence of each hair's movement. This is the key technology to make hair texture.
