"On the Basis of Sex" takes the audience to understand the life of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and the film is quite satisfactory. The film still has its own limitations when it comes to exploring complex topics, and "On the Basis of Sex" has that problem, with solid performances—especially with Felicity Jones as the protagonist—plus a well-timed story. In terms of content, "On the Basis of Sex" is a conservative and well-established work. Felicity Jones does her best in the film, but the actual character archetypes are there, so there's not much she can do. This is a good try.
