On the Basis of Sex evaluation action

"On the Basis of Sex" takes the audience to understand the life of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and the film is quite satisfactory. But as the first film and television work about a pioneering life, it is still a bit disappointing. What is certain is that the perseverance and pioneering characteristics of this intelligent and charming legal pioneer are reflected in the film, and many scenes are thought-provoking. But the traditionally straightforward storytelling and unsatisfactory casting of the lead cast make the film less refined.
"On the Basis of Sex" tells the story of a civil rights fighter who has become an icon and role model, focusing on her early career and one of the very few titles with the word 'sex' in it. It was rated as one of the works that can be viewed by the Motion Picture Association of America over the age of 13. But there are other aspects of the film that are enough to captivate audiences.
The film still has its own limitations when it comes to exploring complex topics, and "On the Basis of Sex" has that problem, with solid performances—especially with Felicity Jones as the protagonist—plus a well-timed story. In terms of content, "On the Basis of Sex" is a conservative and well-established work. Felicity Jones does her best in the film, but the actual character archetypes are there, so there's not much she can do. This is a good try.

    Can't sleep after watching

Aggressive questions in courtrooms and assertive arguments by the U.S. government teach us that in the face of injustice, anger is not enough, but reason, logic, and strategy. In fact, this is also a cool movie to see how a person uses his own wisdom and beliefs to cause social change with the support of his family and peers. What impresses me most is the relationship between Ruth and ACLU in the film. Although they have the same goal, there are still differences and quarrels. "The law will not change for the weather of a certain day, but it will adapt to the climate of the times." At the end, the image of the heroine and the real Ruth walking on the snow-white stairs in a touch of blue is so beautiful!

On the Basis of Sex quotes

  • Jane Ginsburg: So, would you like help taking apart your life's work, or... is that something you'd rather do by yourself?

  • Erwin Griswold: I'm pleased you found a use for your Harvard education.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg: Actually, what I'm doing now, I learned at Columbia.
