The story takes place in a small pagan village in Estonia, where werewolves, plagues and ghosts are rampant. In order to survive the cold and dark winter, the villagers here have no taboos and steal everywhere. They sell their conscience and scavenge for a creature called "Kurat" that can help them steal, even when the barn and barn are too full. A young farm girl named Lena is hopelessly in love with a boy in the village named Hans. The desire for the boy turns the girl into a werewolf and jumps into the cold water. She is ready to dedicate herself to love.
