The story describes a group of tough but kind-hearted police officers who continue to use various methods to catch criminals. They work in the most unsafe parts of the city, and they all face vicious cases: drug production, arson, neo-Nazism, and murder. These are just their day jobs.
With a terrifying serial killer rampaging the city, Detective Inspector Vivienne Deering (Joanna Scanlan) and her team realize they've met a formidable adversary. With the help of right-hand man Detective Dinah Kowlaska ( Elaine Cassidy ) and Investigating Superintendent Joy Freers (Alexandra Roach), Vivienne vows to solve the case. Vivienne's behavior was so bizarre that everyone thought she was mentally ill. Dinah has an impulsive personality. Joy Freers was recently promoted as Dinah's assistant.
