1. "Nebraska" was filmed in November 2012, and it took 35 days before and after filming.
2. While Alexander Payne was still filming " About Schmidt ", he got the script of the film written by Bob Nelson from his two producers. However, he started filming the film after he finished filming " About Schmidt ", " Sideways ", and " The Descendants " one after another.
3. In Payne's original plan, the protagonist of this movie was the veteran movie star Gene Hackman, but Hackman had retired at that time. After considering established actors such as Robert De Niro, Robert Duval, Jack Nicholson and Robert Foster, Bruce MacLeish Dern finally got the lead role.
4. An actor who plays a child is also a gunman's sweet pastry in Hollywood. Paul Rudd, Kathy Affleck and other Hollywood stalwart actors were expected to play Dunn's son in the film, and SNL comedian Will Forte finally got this role.
5. "Nebraska" is a black and white movie. The reason why Payne used black and white instead of color to shoot this movie is because he thinks black and white looks "more prototype and iconic."
