"Nausicaa" also contributed to the first encounter between Hayao Miyazaki and Joe Hisaishi. The original soundtrack of the movie "Nausicaa" has been scheduled to be in charge of Haruomi Hosino, who has written the theme song and sang it by Narumi Yasuda. However, both Hayao Miyazaki and Takahata Hoon liked Hisaishi Joe's impression album and directly used it in the feature film, only retaining the theme song of Haruomi Hosino. The female voice that appears in the film "Remote Days" (远い日々) is from Hisaishi Joe's daughter Mai (only four years old at the time).
