Mysterious Skin is one of the most moving and beautiful movies I have ever seen, but his dark story of wandering on the edge of despair is also a totally heartbreaking movie. This is a poignant story about child molestation. Two young boys were tempted by a pedophile coach, and the shadows of their lives lingered.
In the end of the film, the two protagonists meet again on Christmas Eve after a ten-year interval. They return to the coach’s residence where the personnel are no longer staffed and sit on the sofa. Scenes of unbearable past events come to mind. At this moment, only the two are closely dependent on each other to obtain the ultimate salvation.
