Twilight Sparkle is a (slightly dumb) purple unicorn foal who, along with his dragon companion Spike, are sent to Ponyville by mentor (queen) Princess Celestia to learn the magic of friendship . He came to Ponyville to meet Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Applejack, and Rarity, who would become best friends. Their respective traits of joy, loyalty, kindness, honesty, generosity and magic enable them to manipulate the Harmony Crystals and deal with crises. They later lived in Ponyville, Equestria, and many stories were born from it.
