During the filming, the Orient Express did not actually exist. The Orient Express used in the movie cannot travel too far.
Before the filming started, the makeup process of Albert Finney's old dress often took several hours. At the same time, he also had a stage performance. The crew specially invited a special line opened by an ambulance to pick up people at his home. In the car, he wore pajamas to help him sleep better.
Agatha Christie himself expressed that he was very satisfied with Albert Finney's performance (although he criticized the two moustaches), but later because of the troublesome makeup, he refused the invitation to continue to play Poirot.
In fact, Agatha Christie was very reluctant to sell the right to adapt her work, but after repeated invitations from EMI and the persuasion of Lord Mountbatten, she finally agreed to give it a try.
The Queen of England attended the premiere of the film, and the celebration after the premiere was also the last time Agatha Christie participated in the event before his death.
Film producer Lord Brabourne is the son-in-law of Lord Mountbatten.
Albert Finney is many years younger than the character Poirot. In order to get closer to the weird Belgian in appearance, Finney's face was treated with special makeup.
Ingrid Bergman speaks fluent English in real life without a dialect accent. The producer hired a teacher to teach her to speak English with a strong Swedish accent in the film.
Ingrid Bergman was originally set to play Princess Dragomiroff, but in the end he chose Greta Ohlsson.
In the last scene, Poirot showed everyone his analysis of the case, requiring a large number of lenses and camera angles to be set in this narrow scene at the same time. However, because the space is too small to place so many cameras, the actors have to repeatedly film the scene many times. This suffers from Albert Finney, whose monologue alone has eight pages.
Not long after the film began, it was possible to see a lot of luxury food being transported on the train. In fact, these delicacies were stolen by thieves before the filming started. All the food had to be re-purchased in Paris halfway through, when it was still midnight
