Mr. Turner evaluation action

One of the most moving episodes is his final, prosaic love life with a widow. There are also some humorous scenes in the film, such as Queen Victoria and ordinary people commenting on his paintings. The film is not only a series of sketches for a painter, but also a huge mural reflecting his era. There are no beautiful women in the film, no highs and lows, and the dramatic audience will find it dull. But with Mike Lee's meticulous approach, what might otherwise be a bland film achieves some depth. The whole film is permeated with a touch of sadness, but it does not lack a peaceful and far-reaching harmony. He inserted moments of quiet contemplation between the constantly moving scenes, like Turner's later oil paintings, which tended to be abstract, evoking the flow of time, the change of place, and the shadow of death. The selection of exterior scenes and the reconstruction of interior scenes in the film have taken great care, not only referring to and reflecting the realm in Turner's paintings, but also presenting the atmosphere of that era.
The film revolves around the last 25 years of Turner's life, and the plot is not so much ups and downs, I'm afraid it is more appropriate to be ordinary. The seemingly simple plot and the ordinary life explained in a simple way have established a map of Turner's relationship with his family, friends and opponents during his lifetime. Dick Pope and Mike Lee succeeded in showing the mystical quality of Turner's work, his unique use of light and other elements - in the words of one of the film's characters, "His work teaches people that everything in nature is are interconnected." Even digitally shot, Mr. Turner is astonishingly natural.

I finally watched this movie after going to Tate. For me, this is an experience where painting dominates the film. The most fascinating is the painting, followed by the painter's story, the film structure, Mike Lee, the performance, etc. I don't care much, the best photography vision also comes from Turner's paintings. , simulating the capture of light and shadow by his eyes. The Sun is God, perhaps this is the most mysterious part of Turner.

Biopics really aren't my thing, I'm so bored that I don't know what to say. The picture is beautiful, and the composition is very thoughtful.
