- The film is the first work of the "Mr. Hulot tetralogy", the following three are " My Uncle ", " Play Time " and "Traffic Accident" .
- In the 1920s, director Tati met a barber while serving in the military. The barber who seemed fearless because of his stupidity and naivety became the prototype of "Hulot". "Hulot" is named after one of Tati's neighbors .
- The film was shot in real scenes. During the filming, the hotel where Mr. Hulot stayed in the film was still open. In order not to affect the normal business of the hotel, Tati built a fake door on one side of the hotel. After the film was released, many tourists came to the beach where the film was filmed and wanted to stay in the room where Mr. Luo lived in the film, but in fact the room where Mr. Luo lived did not exist at all, it was just a skylight .

I'm not too fond of Jacques Tati's film, most of which are still mime-style jokes, even if there are no subtitles, it will not affect the viewing. Funny French, what a tried and true trick to find things.

The earlier Jake Dadi focused more on the comedy, and the social observation component was relatively less. This particularly felt that many of the humorous designs of Jake's land come from the mechanized side of human behavior, or that the crowd is like insects. It is no wonder that he will be so fascinated by the group behavior of modern society in the future. Personally, I currently prefer the later Jacques Land.

Martine: Sorry.
The Young Intellectual: Must be socially and politically aware.
