The film is adapted from the novel of the same name by the late science fiction writer Philip K. Dick. Dick is especially good at creating short stories. The story is refined but the plot is tight and subtle. Of course, there is no reason for Hollywood to let it go. Memories, the sci-fi horror film "Blade Runner" and "The Imposter" are all adapted from his novels.
This futuristic sci-fi thriller was originally scheduled to start shooting in the fall of 1999 and will be released in the summer of 2000. However, because Spielberg and Cruise are so popular, the two have not been able to cooperate in their schedules, so the entire shooting plan had to be repeated. Delayed and dragged around until everyone almost forgot about it. The two talents finally decided to cooperate, but the whole plan is still inseparable from the word "wait", because Cruise has to finish filming Cameron first. Crowe’s "Vanilla Sky" took a two-week break and practiced the necessary muscles and stamina for action movies by the way; while Spielberg was in the post-production of "Artificial Intelligence", which Kubrick missed. The production of the film can be described as time-consuming. Fortunately, the two busy people managed to get together in the end, and it was not in vain that the fans were waiting for them. The film is also the second cooperation between DreamWorks and Fox after "Leaves of a Deserted Island". Its top production lineup and attractive plot have made this movie highly anticipated since it was never born. It's everyone's appetite.

8/10. Revisit. The element of the eye of the soul is used as a metaphor for the intervention of technology on the freedom of will. The prophet always keeps his eyes open to watch the crime image in the dream, and then Anderton drags the image on the surface of the screen with his arm, and reassembles the broken image with his index finger. ; Electronic spiders crawled up every resident’s face to scan the retina like a ghost. Anderton, who had undergone an eye-exchange operation, could not escape the electronic search. The elements of these eyes satirize the blindness of technology to see the truth. The illusion that Rama plays the murder first and then creates the real murder provides a loophole in the system. The doctor's grandmother who invented the predictive system in the film not only revealed the existence of a minority report, but also complied with the group of vigorous plants she cultivated. Spielberg explained that the impulse and choice of life are not controlled by humans and technology. Just as the FBI rookie caught the red ball that was about to roll down, but couldn’t predict that his fate was shot by the trusted Rama, when Rama’s crimes appeared on the screen high above the banquet guests wearing tuxedos around him, in control The Rama of the Prophet (rule of man and corruption are fatal loopholes in technology) also had to accept the conclusion that embraced death.

Minority Report quotes

  • Agatha: [to John Anderton] You still have a choice.

  • [Hundreds of contained prisoners rise up around Anderton and Gideon]

John Anderton: My God, I forgot there were so many.

Gideon: And just think, they'd all be out there killing people if it wasn't for you. Look at how peaceful they all are. But on the inside...

    [taps his head]

    Gideon: busy busy busy.
