version one
The film depicts the splendid scene of 10 crew members flying a B-17 bomber over Germany in 1943 during World War II to bomb an established target. This group of energetic young men has just completed their 24th flight mission, and they can fly home again. The long-lost home is waiting for him. What to do after the war is over in everyone's heart. However, when the cruel facts were in front of them, they could not express their tension and fear to others, and they could only silently pray for the blessing of the gods in the dark. To this end, they regard good luck above everything else, and a bodyguard or even a lucky rubber band can make their hearts sustenance.
After tense and helpless waiting, the order to start finally came, and the flying phalanx full of ammunition passed through the clouds and approached the target. The host, Memphis Belle, was named by Denise in honor of a girlfriend he met in Memphis. In order to protect innocent lives and public facilities such as hospitals and schools, Denis did not fear death and flew back to confirm the target under the circumstances of bad weather and dense clouds, and the target could not be confirmed. The battered plane finally returned with this group of bruised heroes who successfully completed their mission.

The well-known ten-man crew of the B17 bomber, the domestic main theme screenwriter who shouted "fire at me" will probably never understand why the hero is portrayed as a group of people who are greedy for life and fear of death. The air battle scene was not intense but the atmosphere was still gripping; in addition, there were actually 11 people on the plane - and the great director William Wheeler who made the documentary in the cabin.

One of the few air combat movies I've seen.

Richard Rascal Moore: And your mother, too!

  • Richard Rascal Moore: Hey is that your new plane out there?

Stan the Rookie: Yeah, Mother and Country.

Richard Rascal Moore: Mother and Country?

    [everyone together]

    Richard Rascal Moore: Awwww!

Stan the Rookie: We had our first practice today.

Richard Rascal Moore: Oh yeah? How'd it go?

Stan the Rookie: Well, we need a couple more. If you guys have any advice...?

Sgt. Jack Bocci: Yeah, get a gun, shoot yourself in the foot, and go home!

Eugene McVey: Now, that's good advice!

Richard Rascal Moore: Hey, are those size eights? How about leaving a little will saying when you get your ass shot off on your first mission that those nice, shiny new pumps come to me, huh?
