"Mask" is the most influential work of Peter Bogdanovich, the leading American independent movie movement in the 1970s and 1980s. Compared with the more commercially successful "Last Movie", it is more original and shocking. Power, given an important evaluation in the German version of "World Movie History". This film is based on real people and real events, and it pays attention and sympathy to the disabled who are abandoned by society, especially the disabled children, and is full of human touch. Black and white film is generally used to shoot such subjects, but director Peter Bogdanovic broke the convention and shot the whole film with color film, which added a sense of intimacy and life. In the 38th Cannes Movie Festival (1985), this film won the Best Actress Award (Chel).
