"Luce" is a provocative thriller about race and identity. The problem of the film is like Luce’s line "I can only be a saint or a monster" in the film. The film asks the audience to judge right from wrong, but the film itself does not give the final answer, and the choice given by the film is also very fictitious, and It also deviates from the original problem, which leads to incoherence as a whole. Kelvin Harrison Jr.'s performance clearly showed the audience how Luce blended into the new environment, and at the same time showed the dark side of Luce's heart. This kind of performance is also the reason for the failure of the film. The film first raised some questions about race and social expectations, but these questions did not have clear answers. The original idea was to make the audience think, but it did not achieve its goal
