Before the official production was completed, director Daniel Espinosa and his team completed the precise process of the set based on the real International Space Station. The screenwriter portrayed the science fiction and technology in the film more accurately and realistically, and hired Dr. Rudolf Schmidt, Inspector General of the European Space Agency, and microbiologist Adam Rutherford as consultants. The scenes of the film are all set in the limited space of the International Space Station, and the actors need to simulate the zero-gravity environment of the space station astronauts. The actors are suspended on huge steel wires controlled by the staff to create a suspended state in a weightless environment. In the post-editing process, the crew will use CGI technology to erase the steel wire from the shot.
