In 1926, in a cotton field in Georgia, young Cecil witnessed his father being shot and killed by a farmer. Since then, racial discrimination has cast a lingering shadow in his heart. In the late 1950s, Cecil Gaines, who was in Washington, was accidentally recognized by the head of the White House's internal affairs and was elected to work as a catering service in the center of the country's politics. He remembered the teachings of his superiors, watched his words and colors, and dissolved himself in the air. In the years that followed, Cecil served Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, Reagan and other presidents who each wrote an important piece of American history. Around the black civil rights struggle, he and the president, his family, and his brothers and sisters have also experienced unforgettable moments.
