They were going to dig three feet in the ground and Le trou escaped. Roland was their head. They used all tools to dig the tunnel. It was so enjoyable to watch. Although there was no soundtrack, the director used a realistic approach to make the atmosphere of the whole film tense. These five people thought that their escape plan was seamless, but they didn't expect to be completely played by the warden and applauded. Especially Gaspard, the cowardice of human nature is all reflected in him, and is used by the warden. However, in the dungeon where the prison guards feed the spiders with insects, we can see the clues of the subsequent development of the plot, which is really tragic.
