Colombian writer Finado returns to his hometown of Medellín after 30 years in exile. Having inherited a large inheritance and a huge mansion, he has long since lost interest in life. Years of wandering life made him full of world-weariness, and he had only one purpose in returning to the motherland, and that was to wait for death to come.
Medellin, a city besieged by violence and blood, is in chaos as the center of Colombia's drug trade. Fights and shootings happen everywhere in the streets, especially the younger generation in the city, who have even become accustomed to using guns to settle disputes, big and small. Moral beliefs have been completely lost, and churches have become gathering places for prostitutes and drug dealers.
As if God gave Finado another chance at redemption, at the party, a friend introduced him to a 16-year-old boy named Alex. Finado and Alex quickly fell in love, and he seemed to have renewed hope for life.
But there is still a huge chasm between the lovers. Alex comes from the ghetto of Medellin, where the horrors are clearly beyond the rich Finado's imagination. Growing up in a harsh environment, Alex has completely adapted to the laws of survival there, and he carries a gun with him, which can make a person's head blossom for no reason. When Finado got angry at a taxi driver for refusing to turn down the radio, Alex killed him without a word. And Finado was saddened by his violent behavior. The age difference also created a generation gap between the two. Finado favors classical music, while Alex is an avid rock and metal fan, and he even mocks Mary Callas for singing like a chokehold. But these differences did not prevent the relationship between the two from growing day by day.
In this hellish city, this relationship clearly has no future. One day Alex is killed by a motorcyclist who comes for revenge. Finado is in so much pain, he just wanders the streets every day.
