On June 23, 1894, Alfred Kinseyplayedwas born in a poor family in New Jersey. His father was a mechanics teacher and occasionally worked as a school missionary on Sundays. With a strong rebellious personality, Kinsey went against the wishes of his family and became a zoology student at Harvard University specializing in wasp research. Since then, he has also entered the biological world he loves and dedicated his life to.
After graduating and being hired by Indiana University as a biology teacher, Kinsey met Clara McMillan, a wit and cheerful female student . The two fell in love and finally got married. During the teaching process, Kinsey discovered that there are amazing blind spots in the science of sexual behavior research. When a student asked him questions about sexual relations and sexual problems, he found that there was no practical data to help him get the answer.
Facing the forbidden zone of science, Kinsey decided to personally explore the influence of emotions and psychology on sexual behavior, and obtain first-hand scientific data on sexual behavior through experiments. To this end, he formed a team consisting of Clayden MartinSusgard, Wardell Pomeyand Paul Gerhardincluding the research team. They identified an interview method and used it to break people's shyness, timidity, and guilt, and freely speak their sexual history. Kinsey also created an open sex environment in a group, encouraging them to start free sexual communication before the liberation of sex in the 1960s
