Producer Gail Mutlux has always wanted to put Kinsey's life on the big screen, and he found Bill Kenton to take charge of the film. Bill Kenton spent 6 months studying oral interviews, Kinsey’s works, modern related materials, and four biographies, including "Sex The Measure of All Things: A Life" by Jonathan Gesoni Hardy. of Alfred C. Kinsey. He also went to the Kinsey Institute in Indiana and interviewed many people who were familiar with Kinsey and worked with him, and learned some interesting stories and other related details. Kenton combined all the information he collected before starting the script. Because Kinsey described the sexual interviews that reveal people in the past as a "prism", he also tried to build it in a prism way, reflecting the changes in all aspects of a man and human social attitudes. At this point, Bill Kenton completed the first draft of the script.
