This film, written by Troy Kennedy Martin, describes that during the Second World War, five dedicated soldiers led a team of US troops to open tanks to break through the German defense lines and rob a batch of gold worth more than 10 million in banks behind enemy lines. Director Brian G. Hutton tried to shoot the War Adventure film in a comedy way , but the effect was not satisfactory. However, several of the protagonists have distinct personalities, and the performances are good. In particular, Clint Eastwood 's performance has been well received by the audience. Coupled with the whimsical storyline, the film still maintains a certain degree of entertainment.
