Jersey Girl Shooting Highlights

2021-12-31 08:03
The film is written by screenwriter and director Kevin Smith based on his own experience as a father.
The film is the second time that Ben Affleck and Liv Tyler have co-starred as a couple; their first co-starring as a couple was in the 1998 film "Peerless Tribulation".
The film is the first PG-13-level work in Kevin Smith's director career. In fact, the film was almost rated R-level at first, but was changed to PG-13-level due to subsequent complaints.
Since Ben Affleck has been shooting the film "Dare to Heart", it was not until the summer of 2002 that the film was able to start shooting smoothly.
Jason Biggs is the only person from the State of New Jersey who starred in the film.
At first, the role of Arthur Brickman in the film was originally scheduled to be played by Jason Muse, but his drug abuse problem led to his withdrawal; later Jason Lee also auditioned for this role. But in the end this role was won by Jason Biggs.
When Kevin Smith first created the character of Maya, the original character in his mind was actually Alisha Dushku. Later, the reason why Alisha Dushku was not used for Maya was because he thought she looked like Ben. Affleck's daughter, not like his girlfriend.
When the DVD of the film was officially released, in order to make the DVD popular, director Kevin Smith half-jokingly promoted it, hoping that everyone would buy the DVD of the film so that he would have enough money to make his sexy wife happy.
In the film, Gertrude’s tombstone shows that her date of birth is July 24, which is also the birthday of her actor Jennifer Lopez.
In the role of Gertrude in the film, the producer originally planned to play Joey Lauren Adams, but director Kevin Smith believes that her husband and wife combination with Ben Affleck will make the film look like the film " Chasing " Amy "; so they later chose Jennifer Lopez.
