Will Domoand his partner Harpcome to Alaska, a small town far away from Los Angeles, to investigate a 17-year-old girl who was beaten to death. The geographical environment of Alaska is very special. It is always day, the sun never sets, and there is no night. A local policewoman, Elliesincerely awed by Domo's handling of the case and strives to learn during the investigation. At this moment, Domo is actually in trouble. He has captured a suspect in Los Angeles. Because he wanted to convict him, he had to fabricate false evidence. This matter has been investigated by the Ministry of the Interior. Harp wanted to be honest with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and thought it would be good for Domo, but Domo didn't think so. Following the investigation of the case, Domo and Harp found the first suspect in the case-the reclusive novelist Walter Finzplayed. They followed Fenz to the reef-lined and misty beach, but Fenz suddenly disappeared into the mist. In the round up to lure the real murderer, Domo made a mistake and killed Harp in the fog. When reporting the incident to the Police Department of Internal Affairs, Do not instinctively said that the gun was fired by the murderer. However, under the pressure of conscience and the special environment of Alaska, Duomo suffered from severe insomnia.
With guilt for the murder of his companion and the sense of responsibility for the case, Domo is forced to join the mental game of cat and mouse with the scheming Finz. As the case progressed, Domo and the town's policewoman Allie cooperated in the investigation, but he didn't know that all of this was in the operation of Finz. Perhaps due to the inability to get rid of the trouble of the abnormal environment where the sun shines in the dark, or because of Domo's own misjudgment, the mental state of this agent suffering from severe insomnia is being hit like never before. The novelist Finz didn't plan to play hide and seek with him, and a duel between psychology and conscience began.
