- "Brains" is the 15th feature film produced by Pixar Animation; it is also Peter Dougert's third work after "Robots" and "Travel around the House".
- Before "Brain Agents", only 3 Pixar films were rated as PG Parental Guide Viewing Level (others are for all age levels).
- The three voice actors of the film have starred in the NBC comedy "The Office", among which Mindy Carling and Phyllis Smith are resident actors, and Bill Harder has guest appearances.
- Mike Giachino made the soundtrack for the Pixar film for the fifth time. Previously, his collaboration with Peter Dougert, "The Flying House" won the Oscar for Best Soundtrack.
- Graphic designer Ralph Eggleston spent five and a half years on this film, which is the longest and most difficult film he has participated in.
- The animator team of "Brains" is only 45 people, which is half the size of Pixar's previous feature film animator team.
