This is the least personal of Spike Lee’s films, but it is also his most excellent and satisfying work in these years. Spike Lee found so many interesting details, and among them, there are no segments that audiences would not want to see after turning to commercialization. Fans of Denzel Washington can still enjoy his superb acting and charm, and Spike Lee is still the most interesting and exciting director, but if you go to this movie with high expectations, You will feel looted.
The theme of the film attracted the audience. The intelligence of the police and the bandits inside and outside the bank greatly increased the fun of the confrontation between the police and the bandit. The methods of "shaking the burden" adopted by "The Insider" are all within the imagination of the audience. The difference is that the director has adopted an overall relaxed tone to interpret the intelligence of the police and bandits. In addition to designing funny and sharp language for the characters in the play, the film also mobilized a lot of film language to neutralize the atmosphere of the confrontation between the two sides. For example, using the technique of "flash before"to interrogate and identify the real culprit, because the dialogue between the two parties is very horrible, and the director's lens is also very cooperative and knows how to capture the subtleties. From the angle of view, these seemingly sudden scenes not only did not affect the audience's appreciation pleasure, but enhanced their curiosity. This feature is actually the feature of the film as a whole. The director did not show off the language of the film specifically, but made the plot and characters lively and interesting while talking and laughing. The film’s fun is a bit of modest regret. The depiction of the main characters and dragon sets is wonderful, and the plot baggage is just right, but in the end, because some branches and supporting roles lack strength, it loses the value of making the audience more memorable.
