Director Peter Strickland worked with Ben Waitley to produce "In Fabric" into a horror comedy full of weird atmosphere and weird humor. The retro scenes and strong colors dazzled the audience, and the rich sound design adds to the horror. The constant stacking of mysterious events makes the audience enter David Lynch 's dream like being hypnotized . The bizarre fantasy that is difficult to classify can be called the horror version of " Phantom Thread ", the 21st century " The Red Shoes ". The whole film is so fascinating and unhurried, the audience needs to be constantly repositioned, patiently waiting for director Peter Strickland to take him wherever he goes
. The soundtrack of Cavern of Anti-Matter also further confirms the experimental tendency of the film, which matches perfectly with the whole film
