The film is slightly autobiographical in nature, the plot is complete, the emotional handling is delicate, and the performance of the handsome male protagonist amazes the audience. The film is hard to hide traces of imitation: the soundtrack and the use of slow motion remind the audience of Wong Kar-Wai, and the occasional flashbacks and subjective shots are a little abrupt

In the film, Anne Dorval speaks machine gun-style lines, and the audience feels the conflicting emotions of the characters because of the performance. The film has a fierce quarrel from beginning to end and a warm side. The mother and son are antagonistic, manic, but also depend on each other and love each other deeply. The film is muttering from the perspective of a teenager, and the exaggerated self-talk amplifies the rebellion and agitation of youth.
