Wonderful balance! The script is like a chessboard. The five protagonists, from the role to the character to the performance, each take their own part, confronting and blending with each other. You never know who will have the last laugh in the emotional game. The lines are also full of punchlines. Favorite Judy Davis' arrogant inferiority complex and fragile ego, she and Diane West are the most brilliant women under Woody's lens.
