The protagonists of the story, Ben Epstein (Bryan Greenberg) and Cam Calderon (Victor Rasuk), are two aggressive young men in their early 20s living in Brooklyn, New York City. They are eager to integrate into the colorful world of New York, and use their own hands to create a world in the competitive fashion set industry and realize their American dream. They don't lack brains, knowledge, or connections. The only thing they lack is a little luck. Cam's cousin Rene (Luis Guzman) has helped them a lot, and he's actually struggling to promote a new energy drink himself. Good friend Domingo's "omnipotent" "interpersonal network" has also brought many benefits to their business. Lake Bell plays the heroine Rachel, Ben's ex-girlfriend. Rachel is chasing her career and her new boyfriend, and doesn't want to have any more contact with Ben, but fate has brought them back.
