"Detective of the Final Thorns" is a British satirical adaptation of a Hollywood-type action film, just like the shards blown up by "One Out to the End".
Watching the beloved action movie be ruined into this way, American audiences may feel sting, but the stories of these British police officers are indeed worth watching.
There are endless eye-catching gimmicks in Pegg and Wright. From witty editing tricks to humorous dubbing and jokes, they need to be viewed from multiple angles.
The film has enough jokes to make people laugh, and they often make people laugh.
People can see things that are rarely seen in Hollywood movies from "Detective of the Final Thorns". It can have both the qualities of real shrewdness and stupidity at the same time. The film and the director both respect the characters and the audience, and like to make them amused.
The long story eventually loosened up, leaving a few vague and unclear endings. But overall, the film is a love letter to all the uncool things, beautiful, funny, and full of enthusiasm.
Summer has not yet arrived, but the most funny of the summer movies has already landed in theaters.
Wright brings the audience into the characters and actions themselves, and the dream combination of Pegg and Frost embellishes the atrocities with laughter, bringing new and different feelings.
Although it is not a comedy like "Flying Circus", "Detective of the Final Thorns" is a combination of violence and laughter ingeniously exaggerated.
As long as you can understand the meaning of all the little jokes, it will become a movie you want to watch again.
"Hot Blood Detective" is well-made, and the editing rhythm is bright. The editor also seems to have ambitions, satirizing the government, satirizing the society, satirizing the pathological pursuit of perfection. Simon's performance is okay. His bean sprouts figure really doesn't fit this role. Maybe this will give birth to a sense of humor. He is still the same as the old man, with an innocent look on his face. It is still parodying various classics for their own use. The atmosphere of the town before the truth was revealed was very good, everything was normal and so abnormal. A group of amiable old men and old ladies suddenly changed their faces and picked up the submachine gun. The axe and pickaxe were abruptly classic and ironic.
The first few tens of minutes of "The Hot Blood Detective" makes people feel very hopeful. The way of paying tribute to traditional genre films in "Shaun the Zombie" while incorporating fresh elements in a friendly and mocking atmosphere is once again reflected. It's a pity that when the film turns from the middle to reveal the inside story of the peaceful countryside, it's a bit overplayed. "Hot Blood Detective" achieved an accident from beginning to end, the only thing missing is this finishing touch.
The film is more interesting in terms of rhythm. It can be roughly divided into two parts. The first part is very quiet, that is, the two policemen live a boring life in the town looking for cats and dogs. The latter part suddenly becomes chasing after a sudden change in style. Police and gangster movies full of car gun battles, and these two completely different styles are all run through by the hilarious behavior of the two protagonists. This "fragmentation" approach is a bit like "A Dawn".
This time, the screenwriter of "Detective of the Final Thorns" started his imagination. The screenwriter has excellently integrated a variety of elements into the plot of the film. The plot of the film is compact and integrated in one go. The storyline is connected like clouds and flowing water without the slightest abruptness. The most important thing is that the integration of multiple elements does not make the audience feel blunt.
The cutting-edge editing of the opening shots confessed to the characters in just a few minutes is really the tune of a Hong Kong-produced film. Since then, with the actor Nicholas Angel being demoted from the Metropolitan Police Station in London to the remote town of Stamford, the whole plot has embarked on the road of "Police School" + "X Files", and almost became an audience. Together with Nicholas Angel, when he believed in the explanations of "non-human" and "accident", the plot suddenly took a turn for the better. The clichés of ancient dragon-style martial arts novels were "British" here. It turned out to be the "Leader of the White Dao" of Stamford Town.
The fast editing from start to finish keeps the whole film very bright. The parody of many action movies makes people laugh. The ridiculous plot and the chemistry of sitting in a tight-knitted style produce a series of jokes that make the film have an inexplicable and unique style. Only a word "cool" can accurately describe this movie. ()
