Although many plots have been cut off in order to take care of the capacity of the movie (the biggest change is that Pierce’s clues are almost obscured, and only the entanglement between Hillary and Jacqueline is emphasized), but the sadness pervades the entire biography. However, with the recurring Elga Violin Concerto in the film, it lingers and strengthens just right.
Unlike his two older sisters, Jacqueline’s younger brother Pierce who was hidden from the movie, he also likes music, but only the interest of an ordinary music lover who wants a feast for his ears. Since childhood, he always felt that people all over the world were asking him: "As the third child of Dupree's family, what kind of musical instrument do you know?" Fortunately, his parents did not force it, but gave him better than his two sisters. With greater choice, Pierce’s growth trajectory and mentality must always be more peaceful and healthier. However, perhaps it is because in the eyes of terminally ill Jacqueline, such a free and healthy lifestyle is beyond expectation. The original close sister and brother relationship has gone out of tune, changed taste, and even until the sister. On his deathbed, Pierce also failed to dispel her jealousy, and recalled her understanding and tolerance.
