The main background of "The Heirs", Empire High School and Kim Tan's house were filmed in 3 locations. The exterior scenes of Empire High School were shot at LIG Damage Insurance Sacheon Training Institute in Sacheon, Gyeongsangnam, and Dongtan International High School in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi-do, and the interior scenes such as corridors and gymnasiums were shot at Daejeon Foreign Students School. The gate of Lee MinHo's house, which appears as the residence of the chaebol president in the play, is in Pyeongchang-dong, and the interior was filmed in the Yangpyeong THE HILL HOUSE resort and the filming locations of Ilsan Tanhyeon. In the play, the gate of Park Hyung Sik's house and the gate of Lee MinHo's house, the son of the legal representative, are both gates of the high-end residential area in Pyeongchang-dong. The actual distance between the two is about 10 minutes on foot.
