The lonely old man Harry and his beloved cat Tangtuo depended on each other. Because of the government's land exprion , Harry had to take the old cat to live with his son Bert. Bert couldn't bear his father's nagging and asked him to remain silent. Harry couldn't bear this kind of request, so he decided to go to Chicago to find his daughter Shirley. Harry bought an old car specifically for Tonto, because public transport means are not allowed to bring animals. On the way, he met a young man named Singh, and the two walked together. When he arrived in Chicago, Harry met his grandson Norman, and took Norman and Singer to Hollywood, where his other son Eddie was there. Soon, Harry felt dissatisfied again, so he left Eddie's house and diverted to Santa Monica. On the way, the old cat Tang Tuo died, and the lonely Harry longed to spend the rest of his life with a single old woman who also loved cats.
