The production team of "The Lost Lovers" worked with Adobe’s product managers and engineers to develop a system that enables the film production team to overcome various limitations in reality as much as possible, thereby maximizing creative freedom and making the director’s Ideas and presuppositions are best displayed. The movie involves the processing of massive amounts of data. The key feature of editing software is to ensure that all data can be processed quickly and smoothly, so as to facilitate the smooth development of creative work.
The daily shooting of the film will produce several terabytes of data. These data need to be sorted and selected before they can be edited creatively. The editor needs to compare the footage of each scene, then roughly edit and assemble them. Then the colorist and special effects artist performed rough processing, which produced a sample. After watching the sample, the director puts forward his opinions, and then returns the sample to the editor, colorist and special effects artist for further optimization. The whole process repeats like this.
After watching "Disappearing Lovers", you can see that every picture in the movie has been carefully modified in terms of digital effects. This is the first feature film made entirely by Adobe Premiere. Its quality and box office success will pose a big challenge to competing products, such as Avid's Media Composer and Apple's Final Cut.
