The film is adapted from two James Interval number Bond short stories "For Your Eyes Only" and "Risico". It was originally conceived by Fleming in the 1950s and was prepared for the filming of 007 TV series. Director John Interval number Glenn continued to use Roger Moore to play the role of 007, while the photographer was replaced by Arthur Interval number Worcester, who started out as a documentary film. The scene designer Ken Interval number Adam had no time to join the film because he was busy shooting "God of Wealth". The producer recruited Peter Interval number Ramon, who has been involved in the production of 007 since "Gold Finger", as the scene designer.
The film is the first time Richard Interval numberand MJGJames Harold Wilsonteamed up to adapt the 007 script. After the production team was determined, the crew began to look for actors. French actress Carole Bouquet entered the film crew's vision, and Julian Interval number Glover starred in the film's villain. Tapo, the actor who performed well in "The Violin on the Roof", was chosen to play the role of "Columbus" in the film.
