Director Waai Akatib will always remember a mother yelling, take it, take it, and let the world see what happened. At the time, next to this woman was a dead baby-not more than a year old, and she tried to tell him that she brought him milk during the siege. In the revolution that broke out in Syria, Akatib recorded this disastrous revolution
. During the filming of "For Sama"director Waai Akatib witnessed a lot of massacres. Her shots have been rolling and recorded some cruel scenes, including many pictures of dead children, Akati Bu took the shooting as a rebellion and recorded the atrocities committed by the Russian army supporting Assad against civilians in Aleppo
. During the six months of the siege, Akatib shot 500 hours of film, first with a mobile phone and then with a video camera. She learned how to use them to shoot. With the help of Edward Watts, a freelance filmmaker working on Channel 4 in the UK, Akatib learned to tailor and use a lot of footage to describe the city’s war and destruction
