- "Ukigusa" is a remake of the black-and-white silent film "Ukigusa Story" by Yasujiro Ozu in 1934. The basic complex of the film is similar to "Ukigusa Story" .
- Yasujiro Ozu had a red pot with a weird shape, which was managed by an assistant director. He pointed somewhere, and the assistant director put the pot on it, and a large piece of vermilion appeared in the camera. .
- In one shot, Yasujiro Ozu dyed the hand-washing towel red, and the actress tossed it aside after using it. Yasujiro Ozu immediately asked the on-set staff to hang it back in place. Some on-site staff thought, "Isn't this wearing a gang!" In the future, the audience will see the towel returning automatically.
