Far from Men movie plot

Daru, a French born in Algeria , works as a teacher in a school in a remote mountainous area. It was 1954, and the struggle against French colonial rule was in full swing. One day, a local policeman appeared on a horse and brought a prisoner who was tied up. The prisoner killed his cousin, and Dalu must take him to a nearby town for trial.
At first, Dalu refused this task. As a principled person, he could not accept the practice of taking a person to death. However, in the stalemate, the police officer directly threw the prisoner Mohammedaway, and as the relatives of the deceased came to the door to collect the blood debt, Dalu had to embark on a journey. The two walked through the desolate and barren terrain, passing by abandoned villages, exposed to the sinister natural conditions and violence from all sides: at first they were relatives of the deceased; then they encountered angry local French farmers who hoped to put to death any suspicious. The Arabs, regardless of whether this person is guilty or not; they still face the bandits in the mountains, but the greatest danger comes from the escalating war between the Algerian National Liberation Front and the cruel French army
