The elderly Frank ( played by Robert De Niro ) was a worker who applied a protective layer to the wires. His work protected the wires from external erosion. Frank also cared for his four children in every possible way, but within 8 months of his wife's death, he found that he and the children were getting farther and farther away.
Frank ignored the doctor's warning and embarked on a journey to visit the four children alone. However, in Frank’s mind, the youngest son who should be a painter is missing. The eldest daughter Amy ( played by Kate Beckinsale ) does not seem to have a happy marriage life as it seems. He thought it would be the son of the band conductor, Robert ( played by Sam Rockwell). ) Is actually just a drummer, and his daughter Rossi ( Drew Blyth Barrymore ) , who has always liked to dance since childhood , seems to conceal something from her father. In this way, old Frank set off on his way home full of suspicion. On the way, Frank was admitted to the hospital due to a heart attack. The children finally gathered in front of Frank's bed, but the youngest son still did not appear.
Frank immediately understood that his children were not as happy or successful as his wife often said. Frank had to face this heavy truth when he returned home. The trip he made revealed was the tragic secret of the family. But Frank decided to fulfill the long-cherished wish that his wife often talks about, that is, to help the children get out of the deep trap and live a truly perfect life.

    [pause]

    Frank Goode: [shakes head]
