"Non ti muovere" doesn't romanticize rape, but it does exaggerate Timothy's guilt. In essence, it asks the audience not to sympathize with the victim, but to sympathize with the perpetrator. The film shows the audience through dramatic pictures. No audience will miss this meaningful Italian style because they are addicted to the gorgeous melodrama. Although Penélope Cruz Sánchez does not speak her mother tongue, she expresses her essence in Italian. English is much better. This is thanks to Sergio Castellitto, who directed Cruz's career performance and co-starred as her lover, bringing extraordinary passion to both jobs. He did not bring Cruz the kind of charm that Hollywood gave, but brought out her simplicity. The film reviews their improper love in a flashback fashion, making the plot more dramatic, full of visual emotions and untested obscenity. But lacking insight, its view of human behavior is both unpleasant and ridiculously stupid
