Better than expected. The sequel is regarded as an official response to several questions in the hearts of movie fans, and the tribute to the shadow version of The Shining is also enjoyable (but there is no lack of failure). The previous work was a psychological thriller, but this one is a monster-fighting film. A few anti-offline confrontation scenes are quite interesting, but is it really necessary for two and a half hours? ps: The little girl is simply an enhanced version of Eleven.

Brain-controlled soul-sucking eyes, luminous, psychic, floating GPS, intracranial castle, mountain top hotel, soul-locking party, mirrored mountain road, snow maze, bar, dad reminiscing about the old days... I watched the director's cut version, expectations were too high and I was disappointed, I guess the whole film is too much from the original The shackles of novels and Kubrick movies, the director's personal style is very little left, he originally expected to become a group of X-Men battle hotel evil spirits, but the result was a simple sniper gun and axe physical damage and a slap in the face to suck the soul; but I also understand why Stephen King likes this film. The typical old gold chapter is a fable of good and evil. The production is exquisite and regular, and it doesn't feel too long after three hours.

The Bartender: [Dan tries to talk about Wendy's death but Jack ignores this and offers him a drink] Maybe something warm... to push away such unpleasantries.
Dan Torrance: Don't you want to hear about it? She was your wife!
The Bartender: I think you've mistaken me for someone else. I'm just the bartender.
Dan Torrance: Oh, yeah. Just Lloyd the bartender... pouring joy at the Overlook Hotel.
The Bartender: I'll pour whatever you like, mister Torrance.
Dan Torrance: Oh, Dad... this drink will cost an awful lot!
The Bartender: Your money is no good here. Orders from the House.
Dan Torrance: It will cost more than money. It will cost me eight years... eight behind me and who knows how many in front of me.

Crow Daddy: [Crow Daddy realizes Dan Torrance is talking through the captive Abra] Who are you?
Abra Stone: I'm the guy who killed your friends.
Crow Daddy: [seething] It's nice to meet you. Neat trick. Haven't seen this one before.
Abra Stone: Wanna see one more?
[Crow Daddy reaches for his gun]
Abra Stone: I don't imagine Rose will be too happy if you shoot the prize.
Crow Daddy: I don't suppose Rose will be happy about any of this. And when that woman gets mad... well... seems to me you know enough to know you might wanna sit this one out. Count your blessings, go on your way.
