Demolition Positive reviews

In all fairness, even though the metaphors in Brian Sepp’s script are too wild and unexpected, it did. This is immediately reflected in the way Davis faced the accidental death of his wife, or in the way Varley handled the car accident and set the tone for the film. The director sets Julia as a ghost, and uses jumping clips and intermittent black screens to show the numbness of the character's heart. In the film, rock music can be described as a seam, playing the power of healing, and "Demolition" uses an unconventional way to interpret such a sentimental theme, which has certain advantages. Gyllenhaal's grip on Davis was very good, and he successfully tapped the man's humorous and warm side
