Death Sentence evaluation action

"Death Sentence" is a flashy form of horror film, the plot of the film seems to be inadequate. The man who evolved from a benevolent father to a vengeful demon due to the murder of his beloved son will slay the wicked one by one. Hearing the subject matter is a bit old-fashioned, there is no way to bring new ideas. The creation of the protagonist is superficial, the whole film is full of "violence", and the plot is also buried in it. Whether he was a husband, a father, or a human being, the wimpy man who gave up halfway through, suddenly went violently, it was obviously not convincing   .
Revenge will only lead to endless continued vengeance and violent behavior, but can not solve the problem-but this kind of moral theory is not the central theme of "Death Sentence", but only the decoration of violence. Kevin Bacon's dynamic acting style is well played out, although his transition from a "risk assessment expert" to a "father who ignores death" is quite incredible. John Goodman's performance in the film is also very good, but his role as Bones Dali is just a small but memorable role   .

The story of the old man's revenge is the same, but with Wen Ziren's excellent storytelling ability, he has exerted an amazing force. After continuously spraying plasma, the down-and-out father looks back at the video tape at the end and it tastes like John Wick... The long shot of the second act is simply shocking, and the excellent soundtrack has a constant chasing bloody battle. Reflecting that in the cruel war, there is no reason for a winner, "Lannister must pay back his debts."

Death Sentence quotes

  • Owen: How are you guys faring? Getting through?

Nicholas "Nick" Hume: Yeah, we're okay. We find compensations. That's what we do, right? We compensate for our losses. Move on.

Owen: If anything like that ever happened to me I just, I don't know. I think I'd snap.

Nicholas "Nick" Hume: Well, you don't really know what you'd do until it happens. Surprise yourself.

  • Detective Wallis: The guy we thought killed your son; somebody killed him.

Nicholas "Nick" Hume: [trying to act normal] Oh. What was that, some kind of gang thing?

Detective Wallis: We think so. Thought you'd like to know. If he was the guy, I mean.
