In the overall dark tones, Tim Bolton always manages to let people see the shiny edges of the characters. "Zombie Bride" sounds scary and makes people scream and laugh. Victor, the puppet in the story, has certain characteristics similar to Johnny Depp. He also appears to be weak and has a neurotic and melancholic temperament.
Dark tones and faint blue are the main colors of this movie, which is also a form of Tim Burton's style. Its humor is also calm and cozy, and the portrayal of characters and pictures is meticulous.
"Zombie Bride" is not as horrible as this title promotes, it actually conveys a warm feeling. In addition, the stories expressed in cartoons originally had many cute elements. Although they are also talking about ghosts and gods, they are destined to be different from horror movies in the traditional sense. So the genre of this movie is animation, comedy and fantasy. In fact, the word "horror" is just a superficial meaning, not the main theme of the movie. The screams made by people in the face of this movie are essentially based on their admiration for the movie, and have nothing to do with their inner fears.
In essence, this is a warm movie, optimistic, lively and full of flavor. It has achieved a breakthrough, although it still inherits the gloom of Tim Bolton. Therefore, this movie is what almost everyone expects, using cartoons and even puppets to express an unusual world. There is no doubt that it allows the old urchins of fictional reality to find a new stage to show their fists, and it also allows the audience to re-recognize the diversification of Tim Burton's film styles.
The content of the film is absurd and funny, the colors are extremely colorful, the living world is lifeless, but the zombie world is colorful. It is obviously a surprising, strange style, beautiful and dark, romantic and humorous work. Although "Zombie Bride" is a puppet film, it is still an excellent film where the two of them collaborated again.
