"Killing with a Knife" has a series of commercial elements such as star lineup, action violence, and murder themes. On the other hand, it is not purely for commercial services. Michael Mann has done a lot on the characterization and humanity exploration of the film. The indifference to interpersonal relationships in a highly civilized society is constantly being spotted in the film, which represents the critical tendency of director Michael Mann.
The original story of the film looks a little dull, but in fact the dullness in the front has made a lot of supplements for the subsequent outbreak. Some foreshadowings seem very interesting, such as the passing of Jason and the female prosecutor.
Tom Cruise did a very good job. He has been sculpting the character of Vincent carefully in the way of Michael Mann, making the character three-dimensional in a limited opponent scene. And Max, the little figure, is very easy to do in the hands of Jamie Fox, and his performance is completely invisible.
