The Korean movie "Cold Eyes" is a remake of the Hong Kong film " Eye in the Sky ", but I personally think that "Cold Eyes" is a better remake. If you just look at the story, you can choose the latter directly. The reason is that "Cold Eyes" is handled more precisely in many places. After all, it is a post-production movie with more beautiful pictures and better rhythm. This type of film relies heavily on the sense of rhythm brought by editing. It all depends on a kind of "model", or the creation of atmosphere. A close-up, a set of quick editing, whether done well or not, all have a direct impact on the film. In comparison, the "fan" of "Cold Eyes" is more adequate. At the beginning, there were three passers-by on a subway. Their purpose was different. You may not know what happened after watching it for five minutes, but it feels very busy. You know that something is going to happen and you feel nervous.
The whole movie is like this, the police are very powerful, and the criminals’ anti-Eye in the Sky is also very powerful. They talked about a lot of analysis, you may not understand, but the film is full of technological sense, the tense chase on the street can still bring people in. In this regard, "Cold Eyes" can be described as a high-end atmosphere, in line with the aura of this special "surveillance class" in the story. The details are also better, such as some minor faults of the heroine and some paranoid characters of the monitor, which make the characters more vivid and real.
