The soundtrack of James Horner in the film originated from the 1986 "Alien 2".
A scene in the film being ambushed by drug dealers during transportation was used as a training video of a US government agent. This scene also appeared in the 1995 TV series "Law Enforcement Titans".
The role of Ernesto Escobedo in the film is based on the big drug lord Pablo Escobar (Pablo Escobar). During the filming of the film, Escobar was killed in an international anti-drug operation.
The film chose the older Donald Moffat to play US President Bennett, which clearly shows that he used Ronald Wilson Reagan or Bush, who was in power in the past, as models.
