Danae, the daughter of Yacris, the king of Argos, is so beautiful that even the god Zeus ( played by Laurence Olivier) is also fascinated by it. Inspired by Zeus, Danae gave birth to a boy named Perseus. But Argos, who was kept in the dark, thought that his daughter was not chaste, so he tried to kill his daughter and grandson. His crime aroused Zeus's anger, Zeus ordered Poseidon (Jack Gwillim) to save Danae mother and child, and released the North Sea giant monster to destroy Argos. A few years later, Perseus (Harry Hamlin) has grown into a heroic and beautiful young man. Zeus's love for him cannot be increased, and he is willing to give him gorgeous and outstanding weapons. After that, Perseus, traveling around, meets the beautiful princess Andrew Meda (Judi Bowker). Andrew Mida was originally going to marry the son of Thetis (Maggie Smith), Carripos, but Carripos angered Zeus and was turned into an ugly monster. Perseus' intervention further aroused Thetis's anger. A war involving the Olympus gods began.

Zeus: A hundred good deeds cannot atone to one murder. A thousand temples or statues or sanctuaries, whether dedicated to me, or to you Hera, my wife, or to Thetis, lovely goddess of the sea, or to you Athena, ever wise and full of care, or to Aphrodite, goddess of love. Nothing can wipe or forgive this one contemptible act of blood.

Thetis: My priests of Joppa are loyal. I will speak to them in dreams and omens.
